In collaboration with the town of Cave Creek, Sonoran Arts League artists have installed a gallery of art in the Town Hall, currently featuring the work of Dick Meuller and Kurt Kamka. A rotating series of installations is planned during 2025 in civic buildings, streetscapes and partnering businesses.

Desert Foothills Gallery celebrates the visual arts in Cave Creek through rotating exhibitions, educational programs, and community events. Located inside the Desert Foothills Library, the gallery showcases juried work by local Arizona artists and Sonoran Arts League members, with exhibitions changing four times a year. Admission is free and all artwork is for sale, with a portion of proceeds supporting the library and the arts.

In collaboration with The Hampton Inn by Hilton in the town of Carefree, Sonoran Art’s League artists have been invited to exhibit “Southwest Landscapes & Lifestyles” artwork in a range of mediums, techniques and styles. Exhibits will rotate every six months followed by an artists’ reception after each installation to meet the participants and promote Art in Public Places.

Created in 2024 in recognition of the 40th Anniversary of the Town of Carefree. A collaborative piece by Marilyn and Terry Alexander, Eileen Pettit, Sylvia Fugmann Brongo, Robin Ray, Jenifer Oberle, Jeanne Anne Baughman, Carol Fleming Marks, and Larry Marks.

Sonoran Sol stands over 11ft tall and can be found close to Carefree’s Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion in the Botanical Gardens.
