For almost two decades, members and friends of the Sonoran Arts League have been creating ceramic and glass bowls in support of the Foothills Food Bank Empty Bowls Project held in awareness of World Hunger Day. Each year, on the 3rd Friday in October, the public is invited to join us in Carefree Town Center. Visitors choose from a wide selection of unique handmade bowls for a minimum donation of $15.00 each ~ a simple lunch is served in the bowl. A silent art auction adds another dimension to this event. 100% of the proceeds go to the Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center ~ approximately $20,000 is raised each year. Held annually the weekends before and after Thanksgiving, the Sonoran Arts League presents Hidden in the Hills, the Valley's largest six-day studio tour to art enthusiasts, patrons and serious collectors. The HITH tour of members' studios offers a unique opportunity to observe artists at work. Visitors are welcome to participate in conversation and creative connection with up to 200 artists, gleaning insight into the creative process, learning about the tools of the trade and are able to purchase works directly from the artists. Hidden In The Hills is the League's signature event that brings excitement, enrichment and artistic awareness so essential to life and community. FREE ADMISSION.

One of the largest open-air fine art shows in the Southwest, this annual Festival of Fine Art boasts artists from around the country. The high standards for acceptance into this juried show ensure that the public sees high-quality outstanding artwork in a variety of mediums and styles. April's for the Arts Auction is a new, exciting event for the League. Over 150 works of art are donated by members and patrons for a Silent Auction, and sculptures, paintings, glass and more are available through a Live Auction.

The Small Works Show & Sale features perfectly petite works of art at the English Rose Tea Room in Town of Carefree, Arizona. These original works, framed or gallery wrapped canvases, are no larger than 100 square inches. The Tea Room offers tea & scones at the opening reception. The Show is up generally all of November through the end of December. See Press Release.
